Nancy Tipton’s 7th-grade English class has been competing this year with thousands of private and public schools across the United States and Canada on Vocabulary.com. For the month of October, Bob Jones Academy was named South Carolina state champion. So far this year, these 16 students have mastered over 1600 words and earned nearly six million points!
Congratulations to the two top “vocabularians,” who have each answered over 9100 vocabulary and spelling questions—Jonathan Daulton and Ashton Jones. The class celebrated their progress thus far with a “build your own ice cream sundae” party at lunch.
