No one shows school spirit in their own way better than the elementary students and faculty. Each day of Spirit Week was full of activities—from fantastic dress-up days to fiercely competitive Spirit Games. Monday kicked off the week with Future Day. Since it was the 100th day of school, students and teachers enjoyed imagining what they might look like 100 years from now. Tacky Tuesday made for a colorful palette of attire throughout the building, while Wednesday’s International Day was a display of costumes from around the world. On Friday a number of great Americans showed up alongside the loyal Blue and White. Students in grades 1 through 6 scrambled for the Spirit Games champion title while competing in a series of Olympic-themed games throughout the week. The climax of the week was, no doubt, Friday night’s Elementary Spirit Night when hundreds of students and their families packed the Academy Gym to cheer the Lions basketball teams to victory. With an atmosphere electric with excitement, the basketball games were no letdown and the halftime games found fans cheering on their fellow students. Who has spirit? Our elementary students certainly do!
