First launched in 1952, National Secretaries Day—now designated Administrative Professionals Day—is a time to recognize the significant contribution of administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals. Yesterday, April 21, was the official day for 2021.
We are so grateful for the wonderful people—currently all ladies—God has given BJA who work tirelessly—day in and day out—to support the administrative needs of the school. They greet parents/visitors, answer the phones, assist students, facilitate correspondence, schedule meetings, maintain records, and prepare announcements and reports. In addition to these primary responsibilities, they bandage scraped knees, clean up messes, set up for special events, and a hundred other unseen things. I praise the Lord for their kindness and grace—even when the task is unpleasant. There is a lot of truth in the expression, “We all know who does all the work around here!”
These dear ladies do not work for the praise of men; they do it with joy as service to the Lord. Well done! Thank you!
Next time you call or interact with one of them in person, don’t forget to tell them how much you appreciate them.
