Heavenly Father,
As we come to the end of the 2020-2021 academic year, we have much for which to be thankful. Most apparent, we are thankful that You allowed BJA to remain open every school day this year. Thank You for leading us all the way. It was not easy, especially for families touched by the virus and having to quarantine, but You provided sufficient grace to meet each need for the challenges created because of COVID-19. In addition, You gave us strength and peace for the various trials, sorrows, and losses.
Thank You for each new parent and student You brought into the BJA family. Thank You that they value Christian education where truth—the Truth—is at the core of every lesson. Thank You for their support and encouragement.
Thank You for each teacher and staff member who gave above and beyond to provide a healthy learning environment because of their love for You and for the students You entrusted to them.
Forgive us for our sins, our shortcomings, our pride, and our lack of trust. We pray that we will not hinder Your work or keep any student from seeing Your glory because of our words or actions.
Thank You, Lord, for what You accomplished in our lives and in the lives of our students. It is amazing to watch You work, answer prayer, and use seemingly insignificant situations to transform lives. Thank You for the students who trusted You as Savior this year. Thank You for the opportunities to tell of Your grace and encourage students to find joy in following You. Do a great work in our hearts in this uncertain world in which we live. Allow us to shine as lights that cannot be hidden.
Thank You for the opportunities to serve—Camp Spearhead, local churches, The Anchorage, Greer Station with holiday music, Miracle Hill food pantry collection, thanking public defenders, and many others.
Thank You for these special years as a member of the BJA team. What a privilege it has been to have a front row seat to witness Your goodness and greatness.
Please continue to bless Bob Jones Academy, Dr. Doug Abels, the administrators, the teachers, and staff as they minister to students and families. May Your good hand be upon BJA, and may You cause the school to prosper. May we all stand in awe of Your glory.
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” (Jude 24,25)
