The Academy Vibrations enjoyed an afternoon at the Greenville County Museum of Art as part of the museum’s annual children’s Christmas party.
The 20-member handbell choir provided a 30-minute concert for the many children and parents at the museum.
Last spring handbell director Nancy Tipton was invited by the museum to play for the event. The museum chose the Bob Jones Academy group because of its strong reputation. Miss Tipton is a 1982 graduate of BJA and has directed the handbell program for 20 years.
The program included Christmas selections, a Christmas story for the children told by freshman members of the group and a selection played by the group’s six seniors. The last presentation featured children chosen from the audience to help ring the bells.
