High school seniors Jesse Andersen and Brad Roach reached the highest rank in Boy Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award. Brad earned his Eagle Scout Rank on November 1, 2012, followed by a ceremony March 5, 2013. Jesse earned the Eagle Scout rank on March 14, 2013, and had the Court of Honor Ceremony on April 30, 2013. Both scouts are part of Troop 519.
Jesse began his scouting career in Beijing, China, with Troop 8848. He earned 27 badges. He personally spent 70 hours renovating a nursery at Morningside Baptist Church for his Eagle Scout project.
Brad created a beaver dam deterrent system at Paris Mountain State Park for his project. The project took 18 months and 212 man hours from project proposal to finish. Brad earned 45 badges during his 7½ years in scouting.
