No one enjoys a trip to the emergency room, and first graders are no exception. It’s a big, busy place; and often there is pain involved. That’s why first graders at Bob Jones Academy are going the extra mile to reach out to children who find themselves at the hospital. Partnering with Greenville Memorial Hospital, BJA first-graders are preparing cards of encouragement to be given to children who are admitted to the hospital after visiting the emergency room. Each month students make seasonally themed cards—include cheerful messages—and then decorate them. This is just one way our young students can be a big blessing in our community.
