On May 15 Bob Jones Academy’s academic year closed with the graduation of 87 seniors. The one-hour ceremony took place in Rodeheaver Auditorium and was witnessed by classmates, families and friends. The traditional valedictory address was given by Claire Overly, and the salutatory address was given by Elliot Lovegrove. Dr. Bob Jones III addressed the class, and the diplomas were presented by the high school Administration.
Of the 87 graduates, 19 have parents who are graduates of Bob Jones Academy, 68 have parents who are alumni of Bob Jones University, and 61 will enter Bob Jones University in the fall.
The class of 2014 represents two states (South Carolina and Michigan) and three other countries (Bahamas, South Korea and Northern Ireland). This is Bob Jones Academy’s 87th year and the 86th graduating class. The total number of Academy graduates is 7557.
