While the focus of many is on the busyness of the season and the upcoming holiday festivities, Bob Jones Academy elementary school students recently took time to honor those who work every day to keep them safe and free.An annual tradition, Nation’s Protectors Appreciation Day, was held Thursday, November 13. Following a special patriotic presentation by a fifth-grade class, visiting military personnel and first responders were recognized for their sacrificial service to our country. Guests represented several branches of the military, including active and retired servicemen and women, as well as several local law enforcement and public safety offices. Following the assembly, honored guests were invited to a special reception where they were greeted by students and their families. BJA salutes these men and women as heroes for their service!
