The high school orchestra under the direction of Mrs. Rachel Taclob has been a busy group this semester. From ministry opportunities to competitions, the group has excelled through their God-given talents. The following are highlights of their events.
Serving with Strings: The BJA orchestra performed an uplifting Sacred Concert at the Greenville Rescue Mission on October 12. Students spent much time preparing for this event and warmly welcomed the over 130 men who came—sharing the Gospel and the love of Christ through music and the spoken word.
Eighteen high school students competed in the SCMEA Region 2 String Orchestra Audition on October 4, 2014. On November 15 Jessica Teruel, Chris Koons, Kara Daulton and Abby Klass had the privilege of performing with the Senior Region Orchestra, and Jordan Gillespie, Daniel Hudson, Nathan Abdo, Kimberly Leone and Elizabeth Franklin performed with the Senior Honors Region Orchestra.
This week the middle school orchestra under the direction of Mrs. Rebecca Grove will perform its Christmas concert on Thursday, December 4, at 6:30 pm. The high school orchestra will play on Friday, December 5, at 7:30 pm. The public is welcome to both of these events.
